Recorded live at Cafe Oto in January 2016, Slowdive drummer and multi-instrumentalist Simon Scott takes us on a journey through natural and electronically processed sound on this new CD for British label Touch. Beautiful forest sounds weave in and out of what sounds like hydrophone recordings of fast-flowing rivers. This is a far cry from new age style ambience, however, and actively encourages ear-wiggling engagement as opposed to providing a soft background lull to soundtrack your spring cleaning. For fans of Tor Lundvall, Alvin Lucier, Pauline Oliveros et al - deep listening recommended.
