Celebrating their 10th year of releases, Kontra-Musik come with the second album from Andreas Tilliander’s TM 404 alias. Obviously it’s another hardware love-in, just with a particular penchant for 303 basslines and all things acid. The album concept works just as well this time round, sprouting more club leaning ideas, resulting you’d assume, from the lengthy live tours he’s embarked on lately. Centrepiece ‘Treso’ is a highpoint, all winding rhythms and counterpoints with tribally Congas spicing the palette. Album closer ‘MC 202 Quartet’ comes with something wholly unique. Its downtempo and squelchy with a classical grandiosity to it.
