Philadelphia born meditation guru and pioneering electric zither player Edward ‘Laraaji’ Gordon collaborates with LA based guitar and synth experimentalist Sun Araw on this double LP of live recordings from their 2014 shows in Germany and Switzerland. Partly improvised, partly preconceived, the long form nature of the double LP lends itself well to the sonic intricacies contained within Professional Sunflow, the first release on new Superior Viaduct sub-label W.25th. Focusing on releasing new recordings rather than high quality reissues, W.25th sees a new direction for one of the most consistent archival labels around.
