Heavenly Icelandic pop-music from Samaris on One Little Indian. Written and recorded over the past year in Berlin, Reykjavik and Ireland, ‘Black Lights’ is the Icelandic trio’s most fully realised and accessible album yet - sung for the first time entirely in English, headed up by it’s gorgeous lead single ‘Wanted 2 Say’ – a chilly rendering of Bjork, dripped in Tri Angle black. Expect stuttering post-R&B rhythms, ghostly vocal manipulation (think Fever Ray), and slo-mo synth pop once carved in the 80s, retooled for 2016.
