Indie noise rock whatever-you-want-to-call-them group Deerhoof release their fifth LP on Illinois based Polyvinyl Record Company. Apparently produced in an abandoned office space in the middle of the New Mexico desert, the band knocked out all fifteen tracks in the space of a week. Perhaps they were in a hurry to get out? Regardless, songs like ‘Learning to Apologise Effectively’ and ‘Little Holywood’ blend that classic Deerhoof sound combining noise with infectious melody and high pitched playful vocals.
