Ahhhhh, the heyday of dubstep in all its inventive, bass tickling, speaker wobbling glory, told through the eyes of a certain Pinch and his inimitable label, Tectonic. Opening with possibly Skream’s weightiest ever production ‘Bahl Fwd’, taking in MRK1’s grimey ‘Slang’, stopping by Loefah’s pulsating ‘System’ and continuing on through the varying incantations of the sacred sound of dubstep. A decade can seem like a long time, though these tunes from that era sound as cold now as ever, though now with an anointed sacredness to them. This will either fill you with epic nostalgia or, if you’ve not previously encountered some of these classics….simply BLOW YOUR MIND.
