With The First Step, Butler has found a perfect home between the Drexciyan depth charges of recent CPU sides and the raw low-fi acid jack of Omar S, its four tracks mix mind-bending electro and four to the floor techno with a splash of LSD like visuals. Black Opal are on a roll at the mo, showing that crunch house can translate expertly well to a longer side than just an eight min DJ tool, seriously sick this one.
