This intimate recording was made in 1977 in Rome, Italy and has never been pressed up before, transferred from first generation open-reel tapes and featuring photos by H.L. Lindenmaier, sleeve notes by the Arkestra’s Knoel Scott and new cover design by Lewis Heriz. This is Sun Ra and his crew on –fairly- restrained form; rolling through haunted piano blues and ragtime standards, synthesizer versions of Arkestra staples like ’Love In Outer Space’, ’Space Is The Place’ and ’Calling Planet Earth’ and a screaming rework of ‘Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child’.
