LDN’s Boxed nightclub, purveyors of that hybrid sound which name checks Mr. Mitch, Oil Gang and Logos as its flame carriers, lines up their second Various Artist 12”, and it is pure heat. Raw fire. Massive. Familiar name Logos kicks tings’ off with a dread-filled, saw-toothed detonator, ready to spark the dance. Next, is Leeds’ Iglew (previous on Gobstopper Records) with a stunningly gorgeous twinkle toed shiver of SAW electronica. Bringing up the flip are Spooky & Boylan with a feisty roller in ode to South London>East London, and Jawside (last seen on Night Slugs) with a hyper-melodic Grime-shuffler.
