Jazz and electronic based musical structures merge with traditional Indian Sidi folk music, an unusual blend of East African/Sufi/Indian influences, to create this debut album from percussionist, producer, and classical table player Sarathy Korwar. Ninja Tune came together with the Steve Reid Foundation, a foundation helping musicians working in crisis or with severe illness, to collaboratively release Day to Day. Moving from India to London, Korwar previously attended the foundations music development program which hosts mentors such as Floating Points, Koreless, Gilles Peterson and more.
