Following last year’s Justice 12”, Osiris Music duo Kaiju come through with a new white label release on Mala’s seminal dubstep label Deep Medi Musik. A-side ‘Burn Down Babylon’ gets by on breezy keys, echoing dub FX and seriously weighty sidewinder sub bass. So spacious, it feels like the centre has been totally hollowed out. The stop-start ‘Wrong Tings’ is an even more depopulated environment, though its slow, defeated atmosphere is countered by warm melodic bass. A powerful taster ahead of their debut album later this year.
