XXXY comes good once again with another plush suite of club-ready statements on his familiar outpost Ten Thousand Yen. The title cut ‘No Matter’ unloads a starry eyed flurry of angelic arpeggios before erupting into a crisp, stepping beat, followed by the punchier heads-down pomp of ‘FWP’. Flipside, ‘Short Wave’ again deals into busy, crystal-coasted synth melodies bolstered by phasered percussion and a sturdy 4/4 stomp, whilst ‘Piano Touch’ toughens things up with its muscular stomp and intricate melodic detail.
