Brand new track from Floating Points following his 2015 EOY chart-topping debut LP Elaenia. Not one to do things by halves, Kuiper is a monumental eighteen-minute kosmiche drumfunk disco cut. A firm fave among those who have witnessed Floating Point's recent live sets, a heady mix of live drumming and analogue synth jams with the FX turned up high, splashing forth waves of colour that pop a pair of shades on the track and give it a cool as fu*k solid Sun-Ra indebted sound. This is all underlined by a raw, driving motorik narrative steering it through its eighteen-minute duration, keeping you locked in a jazz-trance till the end of the tunnel.
