Bristolian heavyweight JoeFarr returns to Berlin’s Leisure System to add to their Gridlock series with more industrially inclined dance floor action with his Spectate EP. The title track puts us in a state of delirium with a broken beat revolving around swathes of feedback and mutant voices in abundance, whilst Max Cooper fills in the gaps on his remix with hard, mechanical judders. Turning over, ‘Comp Killer’ really goes for the jugular, offloading enormous, quaking kicks and a splattering of corrosive waste, followed by the abrasive, steel-drum torment of ‘In Focus’.
