The debut album from Ostgut affiliated supergroup Virginia is finally upon us, and damn it feels good. The trio of Dutch acts: Dexter, Martyn and Steffi collaborated on each of Fierce For The Night's 11 tracks, which, according to its press release, are centred around themes such as love, lust and life. "Love, longing and lightness are the superior motifs of my album,” Virginia says. "They're universal human emotions, but also part of the classic house music narrative." The music itself is an ultra-slick rendition of peak-time Italo Disco heat, mid-00s’ DFA techno/punk, and post-Prince electronic soul like Dam Funk and Discovery era Daft Punk lab-created in Amsterdam.
