Genres

Freaky private press sixties Psych fold rescued by premier U.S archaeologists, Light In The Attic. Apostolic was a studio set up by wealthy hippy New Yorker, Steve Townley. Through this space many travelled, tuned in, tripped out… including Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention who cut many key albums at the studio. This record, first released in 1968, The Family Of Apostolic, features the whole NY family (19 contributors) on recording duties laying down sweet FX-riddled Folk music, Nuggets psych, and surreal Dionysian vignettes into Technicolor sound.
