Exploring love and its various meanings, the Jimi EP sees Lil Silva in a meditative state of mind, traversing modulated textures with a neo-soul twist to them. A number of the tracks feature his own vocal contributions, while ‘De Ja’ has L.A based singer Kent Jamz bless the frequencies and the warbling dubstep style bass of ‘Caught Up’ is ridden by the affecting voice of newcomer, Cosima. The title track features creepy, echoed out vocal loops entwined in a synthy, house burner. Opening track, ‘The Play’ is the most club focused offering, with bounding drum work and a bass line that pulsates wickedly so.
