Uwe Schmidt first released Texturen I in 2015. As the name suggests, this is the sequel, and makes his catalogue swell to over 150+ albums. From the early ‘90s onwards with albums such as Orange, Live at del I/S/C, or Superficial Depth, Schmidt as Atom has had a profound effect on ambient and electronic music. What features on Texturen II is a “"non-repetitive repetition [taken] to a psychedelic extreme, constructing a smooth digital crystal within the stereo field,". Expect high-beauty minimalism across one full hour composition.
