A picture in sublime ambient drone from Swans Norman Westberg. Initially self-released in 2012, the album has been remastered and expanded with the addition of the nearly 20-minute ‘Lost Mine’ courtesy of Lawrence English’s Room40 imprint. Stripped of the primal fears of Gira and co. Westberg creates shimmering, looping soundscapes in guitar FX, harmonics and haunted overtones. Apparently inspired by Westberg’s own experiences with MRI tests; this is a deeply personal and affecting piece.
