Leeds duo Mak & Pasteman return with two brand new tracks, and their fifth release on Redlight’s Lobster Boy imprint (Mele, Mella Dee, MJ Cole). ‘Call 2 Me’ stalkerish vocal, languid bass bombs and circling synth bleep that recall Bicep’s smash ‘Just’. The drums get a bit more rugged towards the end, paving the way nicely for ‘Le Freak’. This one is a more tech-y proposition, with a great vocal sample, a variety of amazing drum sounds, and gurgling bass like bleach circling the drain. Grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go.
