Utterly flooring and crucially vital reissue of drone laden LP Now Wait For Last year from Nocturnal Emissions and Sterile Records (Maurizio Bianchi, Lustmord, SPK) co-founder Caroline K, unavailable on vinyl for 29 years and heralded as a holy grail of post-industrial synth LP's, here given a full reissue by Blackest Ever Black in cohorts with Klanggalerie who reissued the album on CD back in 2010. Burying its roots in the novel of the same name by Philip K. Dick, Now Wait For Last Year draws out the ley lines between Siouxsie and the Banshees The Scream, Coil's rejected soundtrack work on The Unreleased Themes for Hellraiser and the recent breakbeat dread fulled techno of Regis.

Having first come to our attention via BEB's first mixtape For The Pageant six years ago, Now Wait For Last Year's five tracks are richly cinematic and perfectly preside in the shadows of influence over the world that surrounds Blackest Ever Black, from the militant drums of early Raime to the theatrical synth techno of Prurient's Through The Window. There are many reissues surfacing of 80's coldwave releases, some pivotal some not but we can safely say that Now Wait For Last Year is an indispensable piece of history previously only available on vinyl to those with deep pockets, much like the Flaming Tunes reissue, Caroline K's solo work is due to finally get the attention it deserves and will captivate all those that hear it. If you have even a passing interest in '80s industrial and noise DIY (counter)culture then this is what you have been waiting for.
