The introductory release for Firescope, the new sub label of the legendary B12 records comes from the label mainstay and boss, B12. After a long hiatus, B12 became active again in 2015, though this release sees him on a different tip to those releases on Soma and Delsin. It's more reflective, more emotive and less club focussed, more heartfelt. ‘Battle Within’ sees echoed pads and hanging chords merge with light drum work to meld into a fourth world kind of tip. ‘There is No Escape’ features an eerie ancient vocal and mysterious synths. Perfect tune to open or close a set.
