Cavern Of Anti-Matter blew our heads off with the void beats/invocation trex album, and to follow it up they have enlisted two remixes from Karen Gwyer and the one and only Hieroglyphic Being. First things first, this Hieroglyphic Being's remix is absolutely astonishing, in our eyes (any many others) he can do no wrong and his rework of Hi-Hats... is sure to be placed up there with his Roedelius remix from a few years left off as some of the finest work he has put his name to. His remix is a nine-minute number that glistens with cosmic gloss and should be placed somewhere inbetween the current headspace of Andy Sott and the recent acid excrusions of Mr. Fingers. Just wait for the breakdown at 6 mins 40 seconds.. pure bliss! On the flip the perfectly paired reworking from Karen Gwyer unleashes a sparkling version of void beat, starting off almost on the same level as Rabit's recent Dif Circles number Tears before going into a chugging acid house stance that matches Jamal's for time and stargazing quality, a pricey 12" but given the quality of the tunes is highly justified (plus its on clear wax and housed in a screen printed sleeve) unmissable action for the house heads, total acid!
