Excellent Bristol label fronted by Semtek, Don’t Be Afraid, drops their first ever full-length LP from MGUN aka Manuel Gonzales. His first record for two long years following a flurry of expertly crafted 12’s for labels like Third Ear, Fit Sound, Trilogy Tapes and DBA, Gentium sees MGUN return with a bang. Expect eight tracks of analogue/digital processing (the DX2000 features heavily, woven into gauzy leftfield house shapes from Detroit, punk infected electro and throbbing machine-techno. Like UR pushed through the ferric hiss of a tape deck.
