Florian Meyer is back at under his Don’t DJ guise with another eccentric excursion for Berceuse Heroique with the Gammellan EP. Here Mayer keeps one foot firmly planted in the experimental world he’s usually associated with, summoning dark primordial spirits with a hypnotic spell of repetitive Balinese percussion, although in the hands of capable selectors, the buoyant low-end and chittering detail up top would fit well for anyone looking to take things a little more ‘tribal’ on the ‘floor. Turning over, buy-on-sight remixer Dresvn maintains his explosive run of form with his re-run, opening up a proper wormhole and executing the same brand of polyrhythmic mindfxkry as seen on his ‘13 anthem ‘Million Of Trees’; rolling sub-bass, fluttering synth nonsense and oddball glitches are the order of the day here – killer!
