Nic Tasker’s Whities imprint continues to drip feed us with some of the best tackle around, this time delivering arguably their strongest offering to date coming via Berlin implanted, San Fran export Avalon Emerson. Driving A-side jam ‘The Frontier’ hinges glacial synth swathes to driving, rough n’ ready drum machine grit for an interested textural clash, whilst ‘2000 species of Cacti’ applies a similar formula albeit with a bouncier, more spacious aesthetic. Lastly, the beats are stripped for ‘The Frontier (High Desert Synthapella)’, allowing all the dreamers to bask in radiant synthetic pureness.

Really hard 12” - The Frontier feels like traversing the final ‘shelf’ part of Everest, you’ve come this far now don’t fall and check out this view. Tip!
