Gorgeous collection of analogue electronics from Jona, an album on Alex Niggemann’s AEON imprint. Jona is Jonathan Troupin DJ and producer based in Berlin, Germany, he has previous on the likes Planet E, Get Physical, Supplement Facts; dealing in that continental techno sound of slick production and nagging 4/4 rhythms. Here, he strips things down to a meticulous house-science, the type of precision which peers Vladislav Delay and Jan Jelinek are capable. Featuring collabs with Rue de Plaisance label founder Varoslav, Usio (whose 2013 Kuwa Huru album on Studio Barnhus was a belter), Bolivian percussionist Daniel Aguilar, and David K (Cocoon, Souvenir).
