Unmissable jungle techno from one of the scene's greatest yet most overlooked producers Skanna, following his seminal KVA reissue from a while back his Skanna imprint is back with the first of two reissue 12"s. Originally out in 94' The Greatest Thing marks a turning point in Skanna's sound, pre-dating the future sci-fi trance he went on to produce as Quivver, The Greatest thing and its two b-sides show a more lush, ambient sound when compared to the darkside mechanisms of early tracks like Nightstalker and the OG Heaven. Still the Summertime mix of TGF features a tear out amen so sharp it's sure to take ya head off the second it's deployed. We regard Skanna as one of the best 'ardcore and jungle producers around but if you ever had any doubt of this give this plate a spin for instant affirmation of the genius of John Graham, the original Skanner.
