Handsome vinyl reissue for the fourth studio album by American alternative rock band Sonic Youth. Sister was first released in June 1987 by record label SST. The album saw the band's move away from feedback drenched no wave towards more traditional song arrangements (aggression still intact, though!). Sandwiched by landmark albums EVOL and Master=Dik, Sister is Moor, Ranaldo, Shelley, and Kim on peak fire. Few bands in history manage to straddle righteous noise and anger with such beauty and fragility. Sister is one of those moments. Pressed up on vinyl for the first time in five years.
