Vin Sol reloads another bout of drum-machine assaults for Clone’s Jack For Daze spin off his Like This EP. The San-Fran artist doesn't waste any time here, getting right down to it with four pieces retro-inspired, Chicago-indebted barbarity primed for the sweatiest basements, kicking off with the dry, 909-rim stomp of ‘Like This’, followed by the arid analogue mechanisms of ‘Basement Game’. Turn over for the hardened brutalist stomp of ‘Back 2 Something’, whilst the tough hardware jack of ‘Make Em Say’ is a surefire favourite for followers of the Legowelt / Disco Nihilist school of thought.
