Astro Nautico is Brooklyn based record label/blog/party, Photay is New York based producer and multi-instrumentalist Evan Shornstein. Since 2014’s Photay EP (also on Astro Nautico) mixed inventive sampling, Dilla-like beat patterns and Blue Eyed Soul vocals (think Toro Y Moi) tastemakers internationally from Gilles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs, and Mister Saturday Night to SBTRKT and Bonobo have been dropping this guys music. The Sadie EP is his follow-up that record; four-tracks of bittersweet sunshine beats emboldened by a canny turn in chillwave vocal pop.
