First ever vinyl release of this near mythical soundtrack to the still way-ahead-of-its-time French science fiction epic La Jetée and sounding as futuristic and disorientating as it first did set to film back in 1962. If you have not seen the film we urge you to do so, said to be the main influence behind the sci-fi epic Twelve Monkeys, La Jetée is a haunting film and its soundtrack when removed from the images maintains the dark, abrasive atmosphere of the original film whilst adding a layer of mystique by peppering in dialogue from the film's protagonists. Absolutely essential for any soundtrack fiends or anyone into the occult and avant-garde. We can't quite believe that it's taken 54 years for the music to be given a commercial release, huge props to Superior Viaduct for this lost diamond of cult cinema sounds.
