Berlin-based musician Tom Adams lands on London imprint Kowloon with the ethereal Voyages By Starlight EP. His soft falsetto vocals gently hugging contemplative piano chords, the instrumentals crescendo to powerful dimensions on ‘Seven Birds’, symbolic for the melancholic atmosphere of the release. While the moving harmonies of the instrumental ‘The Last Farewell’ have a decelerating effect, it's bold melodies that make ‘Fade’ and ‘Stellar’ stand out. Adams' mellow, high-pitched voice takes us on an emotional journey, with the poignant use of lustrous synth arpeggios giving the EP a contemporary feel.
