Ecstatic's Alessio Natalizia (aka Not Waving, former Walls and recent Diagonal signee) has previous in this fertile terrain from his homeland; he compiled the staggering Mutazione: Italian Electronic & New Wave Underground 1980-1988 comp for Strut, in 2013. Here, he turns his lens on the collected works of siblings, Giancarlo and Roberto Drago, a.k.a. The Tapes. What transpires is a ferric ravaged set of tape-experiments, mono-synth-wave, abstract cut-up in the TG/COUM Transmissions fashion, and gentle ambient-Kosmische that nods to wintry afternoons on the streets of Neuköln.
