Rully Shabara, one half of Indonesian avant-metal band Senyawa, releases a solo record for Morphine. Shabara is the vocal driving force behind Senyawa (the band’s sole instrumentalist, Wukir Suryadi, is also releasing a separate solo EP through the label), and here he uses his distinctive, throaty vocal style – indebted to traditional Javanese music – to powerful effect.
