Delightful album of processed Harp music from Philadelphia-based musician Mary Lattimore (featured her track with collaborator Jeff Zeigler on that killer Ghostly Swim 2 compilation). Like fellow stringed-instrumentalist Richard Skelton -playing his cello in the wilds of the Cumbrian moors-, Lattimore recorded much of this record on the road: the American landscape rolls by, whispers into our ears, seasons hush past. Some tracks were captured in the beautiful widescreen landscape of Joshua Tree; while in the studio Lattimore tweaks the source recordings with delay, reverb and phase. A quiet, minimal masterpiece.
