One of the true heavyweights in modern electro-acoustic music (alongside Stockhausen, Boulez, Berio, Schaeffer), Henri Pousseur was also a frighteningly young prodigy of the form. He was just 25 when he composed his first piece of electronic music in 1954, in the Cologne radio studios where Karlheinz Stockhausen had worked, and he went on to have a world-respected career in the avant-garde. This special double LP set from Sub Rosa includes 20-minute vinyl-only track "Ex Dei In Machinam Memoria" (1972) nestled beside other staggering tape works from the 60s and 70s. Serious, yet accessible, tackle.
