Nicolas Jaar’s Other People label issue a new release from Hungarian duo 12z. The improvisational group use drones, synthesizers, electro-acoustic composition, and vocal techniques to create their raw and hypnotic sounds. The album covers everything from drone to dubby trip hop to skeletal house, but there’s a distinctive sonic aesthetic that unifies its tracks and will have listeners feeling absorbed within minutes.
