Karl Bartos 2003 electro workout Communication flicks two V's to the inflated Discogs prices for second-hand copies and gives those in need a lavish new vinyl and CD edition. Bartos if you are unaware was a member of Kraftwerk between 1975 and 1990 and Communication was his first solo LP landing 13 years after his departure. And what a record it is! a heady mix of autobahn synthpop and electro that sits somewhere between Kraftwerk and Dopplereffekt all executed with a keen ear for melody and a sensibility of enjoyment at the sounds being created, an expansive range of electronics that's gonna be on heavy rotation in many a fan's Metropolis.
