Essaie Pas release their first album via DFA. Essaie Pas are a Montreal-based duo most easily described as a minimal synth band, making hybrid analogue electronics drawing on classic darkwave, coldwave, industrial, and EBM. But there’s a clearer production aesthetic and a more robust dancefloor influence in here that keeps it from being mere revivalism. Fans of DAF, Front 242, and other bands won’t be left wanting.
