Jazz inflected soundscapes, fidgety electronica and delicately bumpin-hip-hop from new artist Olof Melander on Project Mooncircle, presented in limited double vinyl. This is ice-cool drift, like the sound of Coltrane pushed through into a C21 compression chamber with Plaid on the electronic soundtrack. According to Melander this record is him “experimenting more with hardware synths, different recording techniques and including more live instrumentation as an alternative to sample based techniques.
