Kollaps were at one point briefly associated with Zomby’s label Cult Music and remixed Darkstar on Warp Records, but today they work in their own collective, Grade10. The music on the Misery EP is melancholic and emotional. It’s slightly more geared towards pop and R&B than some of Grade10’s more clubby cuts, coming across like those early How To Dress Well and Forest Swords records (with a healthy dash of the Blade Runner blues thrown in for good measure).
