New(ish) Dusseldorf label, Offen Music (founded by Vladimir Ivkovic in 2015) makes it two with this bold collection of music from Toresch, a new project featuring Detlef Weinrich, Viktoria Wehrmeister and Jan Wagner on the art-design. Weinrich, AKA Tolouse Low Trax, is a resident DJ at Salon Des Amateurs and is the main producer of this austere, minimal-wave music. Essen Für Alle is a distillation of sensual machine music - like Germany’s own D.A.F, Liaisons Dangereuses or Britain’s Fad Gadget and Nitzer Ebb. Here our time is driven by the beautiful vocal pressure of Wehrmeister and the off-kilter haziness of bands like Tropic Of Cancer on Blackest. Great debut.
