Optimo Trax has proven to be a brilliant label for high quality club tracks. Here they release a four-track EP from French composer Fabrizio Rat. Yes, ‘composer’ – Fab Rat is in fact a contemporary classical artist who makes techno on the side, with the La Machina EP constructed entirely using an acoustic piano and a drum machine. Still, it’s an exciting and unique release that dares to be different without trading club functionality.
