We’re aware that the seemingly never-ending slew of J Dilla reissues and rarities compilations can dull one to his magic, but releases like The Light do a great job of reminding you just how talented the late producer was. This double-vinyl drop, luxuriously packaged and replete with bonus posters, fronts a collection of tunes Jay Dee made for Common back in the day. Of course, each number is gorgeous and soulful and uplifting.
