On the go since 2004, Dopeness Galore return to Bleep shores, following 2014’s lo-fidelity deep house LP from Andras Fox, with something altogether different. George Adams was an American jazz musician who played tenor saxophone, flute and bass clarinet. He is best known for his work with legendary players like Charles Mingus, Gil Evans, Roy Haynes. Dopeness brings the flavour here with a handsome compilation of six vital post-bop tracks. Moving from the free-range skronk of ‘City Gates’ to the after-hours nightmares of ‘Decisions’ and the elegant minimalism of American standard ‘Send In The Clowns’, Adams will tickle your ears if you’re into Roland Kirk, Albert Ayler, Yusef Lateef Miles and more…
