Trilogy Tapes carve up another essential 12” for this first week of a new year in the shape of new(ish) name Coni who has previous on Parisian label ClekClek Boom. As a refreshing antidote to producers who oversaturate the market, this is just the third EP in four year from the Frenchman; and as is always the case Bankhead has picked a winner. These four tracks of no-fi mutated house dynamics, and wyrd use of the sampler, are shot through with a punchy, gated atmosphere (breathing in-out, in-out): ripe for the DJs.
