Talented Norwegian selector Magnus International rejoins Prins Thomas’ Full Pupp imprint with his grandest offering to date in the form of debut long player Echo To Echo. Channeling his disco affinities and working knowledge of the ‘floor, Magnus embarks on a cosmic voyage of shrewd, DJ-friendly cuts that tap into the artist’s techno upbringing, with plenty of nods to early Warp and packed with Scandinavian character. Throughout, the synths are lush, bolstered by rubbery, buoyant bass lines, such as the tweaked-out killer ‘Rise Above’ or the more nimble, funk-indebted key work on ‘Synths Of Jupiter’.
