Following on from the Babyfather free download mini-LP-of-sorts that dropped in 2015, Dean Blunt makes a much welcomed return and debuts the first in what we hope will be an ongoing collaboration with Arca. Meditation creates a vast, sticky atmospheric haze throughout with samples recalling the more distressed avenues of The Redeemer but with Blunt's sweet vocals floating over the top in finest hip-hop x Black Metal stylings before the track mutates into a claustrophobic whirlpool end of a twisted (hyper)dub instrumental that is given a full side on the flip and perfectly caps off the first essential record of 2016.
