German New Music ensemble Zeitkratzer collaborate with influential industrial/noise/power electronics artist William Bennett (aka Whitehouse/Cut Hands) for the second time. Recorded live at the Musique Action festival in France, the album is a sonic attack of deep bass, screeching strings, reverberating drum lines, deadened trombones, and keyed pianos. It’s unpleasant and it’ll make you fidget, but it’s not mindless: the show was played live using acoustic instruments, meaning that none of its unique sound was produced using electronic effects.
